Fiction: Creating a story, Day One
Over the next few days, we’ll develop a story. This will be useful if you're joining NaNoWriMo, and if you're not, too. :-)
Today, find your story's hero, or heroine. Ask your character: "How do you see yourself?"
The answer will be your character's sense of identity. Perhaps the answer will be: adventurer, mother, caretaker, gangster, computer genius, detective, athlete, beauty queen, teacher, great lover, movie star, doctor ---
Write 250 words for your character's journal. Begin: "Today, I ---"
(Note: don’t SELECT a name for your character, allow your character to reveal his or her own name to you.)
